FAQ

1. Where do family sessions take place?

Family sessions can take place outdoors, in your home, or at a location that feels meaningful to you. Fields, trails, backyards, and cozy living rooms all photograph beautifully. If you’re not sure where to go, I’m happy to suggest locations that fit your style and the season.

2. WHAT SHOULD WE WEAR?

Simple always photographs best. Neutral tones, soft textures, and minimal patterns keep the focus on your family. Once you’re booked, I’ll send a short style guide to help you coordinate outfits without stress or overthinking it.

3. What if my kids don't cooperate?

That’s completely okay. Kids are allowed to be kids. I follow their lead, allow breaks when needed, and focus on genuine moments rather than forced smiles. Some of the most meaningful images come from in-between moments.

5. WHAT IF THE WEATHER IS BAD?

If weather doesn’t cooperate, we’ll reschedule to a new date that works for everyone. I keep a close eye on the forecast and will be in touch if adjustments are needed. No stress required.

5. WHEN WILL WE RECEIVE OUR PHOTOS?

Your gallery will be delivered within 1-2 weeks. You’ll receive a private online gallery where you can download images and order prints directly.

6. Can I request specific poses or shots?

Absolutely. If there are groupings or moments that matter most to you, let me know. I’ll always prioritize natural connection and movement, but I’m happy to be mindful of any must-have images.

7. HOW LONG IS A FAMILY SESSION?

Most family sessions last about 45–60 minutes. This gives us plenty of time for connection, movement, and candid moments without feeling rushed or overwhelming for little ones.

8. WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO SCHEDULE A FAMILY SESSION?

The best time is whenever your family feels like you. Golden hour is ideal for soft light and warm tones, but I also schedule sessions earlier in the day for families with young kids. We’ll choose a time that works best for your children’s energy levels and the overall feel you’re hoping for.
